COMPANY INFORMATION:
The client is a well known
manufacturer of two wheelers having its central manufacturing unit in a remote location
outside the city limits in India. It also has many other manufacturing units outside the
city limits in other parts of India. It also has a dealer network spread all over India.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE CLIENT:
Following were the requirements of
the client.
Enterprise Resource Planning [ ERP ] using SAP
needed to be implemented all over the country over a virtual private network provided by
an ISP
To link the Central manufacturing unit to the
remote manufacturing unit
PROBLEMS FACED
ISP did not have Point-Of-Presence [ POP ] at both
the ends
Hence ISP had planned to get the bandwidth from
the bandwidth provider
But even bandwidth provider didn't have the
physical link to both the ends
What it meant for us was the 'last mile
connectivity' problem at both ends.
SOLUTION OFFERED:
We provided Point-to-point wireless
links at both ends [ each end about 6 KMs] using Wireless Routers, Directional antennas,
Towers and associated RF products.
BENEFITS TO THE CLIENT:
Connectivity problem faced by the Client was
solved through our 'last mile links' and hence the client could easily implement the ERP
solutions
