Flash ROM Upgrades - Fast, flexible, and easy upgrades to modern features eliminate obsolete equipment.

Onboard Modem Controller - Allows optimum flexibility in modem installation and flash ROM for fast and easy updates.

Business Features - Supports a wide range of telephone systems. Asynchronous mode with 2-wire, leased-line supports error control.

Messaging - Includes multiple mailboxes and priority message paging. Archive messages or retrieve them remotely. Callers can switch to their mailbox of choice using a touch-tone phone.

Hayes AutoSync™ - Use this feature with AutoSync software for remote 3270 and 5250 connectivity to mainframes and mini-computers and eliminate the need for an SDLC or HDLC synchronous adapter card. Enhanced capability now supports synchronous transmission when you run Windows - (requires AutoSync software, available from third-party developers).

Security and Password Encryption - Pass-Through Security allows the caller immediate access after password verification. Dial-Back Security verifies the caller's password and calls back to a predetermined number. Access control ensures a protected communications environment.

Patented Escape Sequence With Guard Time - Allows the modem to reliably escape from the online mode to the command mode without being accidentally triggered by transmitted data. U.S. Patent 4,549,302 was granted to Hayes in 1985, and subsequent patents have been granted in Canada, Great Britain, France, Japan, Germany, Italy, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

Data Compression - You'll get maximum data throughput speeds with V.42bis data compression which provides speeds up to 230,400 bit/s over dial-up phone lines; compatible with earlier MNP 5 protocol.

High-Speed FAX - Send and receive features bring the highest FAX speeds available right to your computer, V.17 14,400 capable including Class 1 and Class 2 support.

Modulation - For Data it supports V.90, V.34, V.32bis, V.32, V.23 (international only), V.22bis, V.22/212A, and V.21/103. For FAX it supports V.17, V.29 and V.27ter.

Asynchronous and Synchronous - Supports the most popular data format for communications with other personal computers, online services, and bulletin boards, as well as standard synchronous transmissions with mainframes and mini-computers.

Hayes Standard AT Command Set - Hayes created this industry standard for modem operation, now supported by modems and communications software worldwide.

5 Year Warranty with Registration - OPTIMA modems include a two year limited warranty. Free extension to the limited performance warranty is available for a total of five years with product registration within 90 days of purchase. Software includes a 90 day limited warranty.
