CHALLENGE:
1. Lottery terminals captured data in Serial form which couldn't be transported on CDMA and GPRS Networks as these Networks required IP technology for communication.
 
2. Since highly confidential data was to be transported over the Public Networks (CDMA and GPRS), the data required high level security.
 
SOLUTION OFFERED:
Convergent Communications used its indigenously developed product named COSMOS, which converts serial to IP and vice versa and secured the data by using GRE Tunneling.
 
Convergent has installed more than 1000 COSMOS on CDMA and GPRS Networks so far all over India.
 
Convergent Communications is providing the support for Installation, Configuration and Maintenance of its products through their specifically dedicated engineers.
 
APPLICATION:
This technology can be used for Mobile Reservation Counters for railways, Mobile ATMs, Kiosks, as temporary terminals/counters to facilitate host of services. The installation is quick and counters can be mobile.
