About The Zoom CableModem with PCI Interface

Zoom Telephonics offers a complete line of DOCSIS 1.0 based cable modems. All Zoom CableModems feature a low-cost, highly integrated design, a software upgradeable Media Access Control, and can be easily upgraded to DOCSIS 1.1.

The Zoom CableModem Model 5001 is Zoom's lowest cost DOCSIS standard based cable modem. It is easily installed in any computer with an available PCI slot. Direct interface with the bus of the PC eliminates the support problems which can result from faulty cable connectors on external modems.

The Zoom CableModem Model 5001 is based on the DOCSIS 1.0 (Data Over Cable Interface Specification) standard supported by cable systems around the world. As local cable operators adopt the newer DOCSIS 1.1 standard, the Zoom CableModem can be upgraded easily with a simple software download.

End-user satisfaction is enhanced by exacting product design and quality control standards. This assures consistently high quality, reliability and performance; and minimizes the expense of downtime, customer service calls, repairs and returns.
